The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is making a triumphant return to the heart of Asia. The world's premier mixed martial arts organization has announced its next event, UFC Fight Night Shanghai, scheduled for December 9. This marks the fourth UFC event in mainland China and the second in the bustling city of Shanghai.
Shanghai Indoor Stadium: The Stage Is Set

Road to UFC Season 2: Spotlight on Asian Talent
The event will also feature the much-anticipated finals of Road to UFC season 2. This knockout tournament showcases the best up-and-coming Asian MMA talent, with four final bouts slated for the preliminary card. Winners of these bouts will be awarded the ultimate prize - UFC contracts, offering them a chance to compete on the global stage.
A Lineup of Chinese Fighters
A roster of Chinese fighters is expected to feature prominently in the event, reflecting UFC's commitment to nurturing local talent and promoting the sport within the country. The headlining bout, however, is yet to be confirmed.

Chang also shared his excitement for the upcoming event, saying, "We can't wait to put on another incredible show for our passionate fans and showcase the next generation of UFC athletes from the country." He concluded by emphasizing the significance of hosting the event in Shanghai, where UFC has made significant investments, calling it a fitting way to write the next chapter of the growth of MMA in China.
